Animal Talk Medical Center's Veterinary Technician Training Program is up and running every Wednesday from Noon-2:00PM. This course will inform the dog owner as well as those interesting in pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. Classes will the common areas of medicine, diseases and treatments. Material will also teach general anatomy of dog and cats as well as some exotic pets. Students will be able to get some hands on time with diagnostic testing, drawing blood, and the physical exam of pets.

The mentor program is for those individual, including children, that want to experience a day in the life of a veterinarian. Participants sign up for available days at the reception desk and then can follow Dr. Lucas around for the day to see what life is like from the other side of the exam table. This program is perfect for the curious, animal enthusiast, or individual that is interested in Veterinary medicine as a career choice. The program is first come first serve and is free. There is no age minimum as long as the student can follow directions and is courteous.
